Does it seem like no one understands the words you say? Listening and communicating is the backbone of the construction industry. When these skills are used well, they can support a safer and more productive environment. Statistically, 96% of people believe they are a good listener, but only a reported 20% believe they are heard by their leadership and teams. In a time where we're concerned with retention and building a healthy safety culture, our direct lines of communication could be slowing down this progress.

Poor communication can create some of the toughest moments encountered in safety. It can affect productivity, but also mental health and well-being. People who do not feel heard are significantly less likely to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas, and these forms of communication help drive the industry and its people. This is especially concerning when a reported 91% of people consider “not being listened to” a conflict at work.

This workshop will test your listening skills and make you think outside the box to ensure you're putting your best foot forward. It will provide you the skills to create meaningful connections and interactions that can boost your company culture with more productive and purposeful conversations.
