Timelines for the processes involved in preserving lien rights can be complicated. Employees involved in the lien process need to know the requirements under the law.

This course is designed for subcontractors, but all trades are welcome to attend. You'll gain knowledge of necessary mechanics' lien background information and hear about "Myths vs. Facts." This class will also explain how to preserve lien rights so that you can save your company money. Real life examples of problem projects will also be discussed.

Please note, this course will not include step-by-step instruction for completing and filing lien paperwork.

COURSE INSTRUCTOR:

Christopher Vonau (Decker Vonau & Carr, LLC)

Chris joined Decker Vonau & Carr, LLC in 2008 as a law clerk and is now a partner of the firm. He co-authored Ohio Mechanics' Lien published for fellow practitioners and contractors as a guide through the various topics of Ohio mechanics' lien law. Chris received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University Law School.
